someday my prince will come

Sunday, July 31st, 2005

Disney_015_1  no..this entry is not about my wish for my ‘prince’ - whoever he is, to come. I went to Disneyland!!!! The land of tale-as-old-as-time-under-the-sea-is-a-whole-new-world-i’m-wishing-a-dream-is-a-wish-that-you-can-fly!!! hahaha.. I just mixed the Disney songs so if you are wondering what the heck did I just type. It was so tanoshikatta~enjoyable! I really loved my stay there and I wanna go back. Disneyland is so child-friendly by the way, all rides are not scary - at all! I was quite surprised though. The parade was so wonderful. *sighs* It is nice to reminisce childhood days, when I was growing up I really loved Disney, especially Beauty and the Beast - my fave!!!! Belle was really beautiful by the way, and the prince of Cinderella was really HOT!!! hahaha..well, all of my friends thought so too! It was so cute seeing these Disney princesses walking around the park. It was so hot that day, 35degrees Celsius! Can you imagine that? We stayed from the opening time until the closing time - 8 AM - 10PM! haha..disney freaks.Luckily, there were not that many people so that longest time that we have to wait for a ride was about 30 minutes, sometimes 15 minutes and off we go! My favorite was Space Mountain, an indoor rollercoaster that has a space theme (DUH!) with made-up galaxies inside. You cannot see the tracks, it is really dark. Another interesting o ne was Peter Pan’s Flight, wherein you would enter a simulated Top view of the City riding a flying ship - it was so cute. There were so many hi-tech rides there by the way, mostly uses 3-dimensional technology. Example, the Haunted Mansion which has fake ghosts, it was so cool - one minute you thought you see someone eating, then it slowly disappears it front of your eyes! One part was when you would look in the mirror and there sitting beside you is a faint green ghost singing.ahahaha!! It is not corny at all because you would be awed!!! Oh well, it was so nice to be able to go there..such a happy place. Took 80 pictures and I feel bad because it is not enough..haha…The electric parade was not taken that’s why. I love it! We bought some omiyage, I bought a Cinderella crown, which I wore around the park - no kidding! Almost all the people have some crazy head bands, mickey ears, stitch ears and even dumbo ears!haha. We had a dare that we would still wear it when we go home, it was such a laugh! People are looking weird at us and one old man mouthed the words ‘baka’ which means stupid! We didn’t care. My buddy went with me also, Emi - she is really nice!! Well, true, this experience is included in one of my most unforgettable..someday though..my prince will really come..and I am sure of that..ahaha

very sad goodbyes

Thursday, July 21st, 2005

I am always bad at goodbyes, it somehow really affects me that much. We just sent Delphine off as she goes back to France and although I am not that close to her I feel really sad to see her go. I guess this is the hard part of being an international student, people come and go. It is not unusual to be attach to one of your co-international students, but be prepared to understand that sooner or later they will still go, it can’t be stopped actually - that’s why it makes it so sad.

No I am not the emotional type, I just can’t help feel affected. But for sure, I will really bawl my eyes out if Bill and Lauren will go, I will sure miss them.. well.. and I got to do is to accept..sad goodbyes..

just a thought

Okay, so I am supposed to write my Intercultural Communication report but my lazy brain just won’t work. Come on!!! It is due tomorrow and I haven’t typed a single word. Well, pressure works for me and I do really well under pressure. I just do hope I will feel the need to do it.

Hilarious isn’t it? Just hours away from a certain deadline and not fretting of not getting things done. I am such a slacker nowadays..really. Anyway, I cannot believe the Harry potter and the Half-blood Prince ending! No, I am not gonna spoil it for the sake of those people who haven’t read it. But really, it is such a tease. J.K Rowling just left the story so wide-open and I can’t wait how will she patch things up in her last book.

Delphine’s going home this Friday, then next is Graeme whose flight is on Saturday. It will be so quiet here when August comes.

Just had Mcdonald’s a while ago..grrrr….I know I shouldn’t had, but I still did!!! Anyway..yeah..should go to work. >_<

goodbyes and beginnings

Monday, July 11th, 2005

What is it? 3 months just passed? What have I been doing?! Well for sure one of it was memorizing kanjis and vocabs..

Wow..time just flew..I didn’t notice it, really! Sometimes I still have these feeling that I just arrived here, but in reality, I am have been staying in Japan for 3 months..and surviving..amazing isn’t it?

It is just so sad that part of the sudden rapidness of time is the parting of us here in Kugahara. This month embarks the goodbyes we must utter to my fellow flatmates here who have become a part of my life, even for just a short time. Quite dramatic, but these people really did make a huge impact in me, they are the one who helped me cope.

It is just sad we must go through this. Some goodbyes, but definitely some more beginnings..Because for me and Japan, my adventure is still starting..Can’t wait for summer! Disneyland ni ikou!!!!!haha..just entertaining myself to get the load of the kanjis currently bugging my mind. Ja, hope I maintain my sanity. ^_^
