Kyoto and snow!
Finally, I went to Kyoto! I have been planning for such a long time for that trip, well I can’t go before because of some monetary matters. Anyway, we stayed for 3 days and 2 nights and had a blast. We arrived via Night bus around 6:30 in the morning and the moment I stepped outside I began to shiver! It was so cold that I need to wear my ear muffs! Too bad, I still haven’t had my Kaero ~heat pads~ sticked inside my clothes that’s why I was ‘weather-shocked’. When the sun was up and shining, we went to see Kinkakuji temple which I think is a World Heritage site. It was covered in Gold foil and was a good photo spot if you ask me? Hahaha..the shophalic is forever a photo addict. After that, we head to Gion district (well.err..not after stopping at a nearby omiyage shop for some Hello Kitty goodies!haha) and stopped by Maruyama Park. Surprisingly, it snowed!!!!! I was so happy!!! After a few poses, we continued our stroll even under the cold weather. We proceeded to the Imperial Palace and got lost.haha..Anyway, we called it a day early because we need to go to Universal Studios the next morning.
We got out early the next morning to go to Universal Studios and had to use three different train lines - which was a little confusing though. There were not that many people inside and we were so lucky! Spiderman was great!! SUGOI!! I liked it and the attractions that were provided by USJ were different in a way to Disney attractions. USJ uses more of 3D and 4D technology mixed with simulated environment, though it is smaller than Disney. Hahaha..now when did i become an amusement park expert? I should be, being able to go to Disney 5 times in one year!hahahaha. Jurassic Park was fun too and also Back to the Future. Well, we rode almost all so I can’t remember the other names but my favorite was really Spiderman!!
Our third and last day was spent in Nara, the deer town! It was just a little hassle because you always have to take care not to step on some deer poo!! haha. We went to see Todaiji and some temples that I don’t remember the names. I was very tired but hey, my last trip was really a fruitful one. I am gonna miss Japan when I leave…and sad to say, my days here are really numbered already. Happy new year everyone!
